Eucalypts reveal their veins of gold

Eucalyptus trees can identify gold deposits up to 50 meters underground, according to a new study.

The study suggests that analysing the mineral content of leaves and bark, including searching for other minerals such as zinc and copper, could prove a more cost-eff ective and environmentally friendly way of locating and assessing mineral deposits.
